Sidekicks | U4 Born 2019

Our Sidekicks Program is so named because each of our young first time players have a “sidekick” who participates in the program directly with them. This is a parent or an older family member. This program is designed to introduce the young players to enjoyable activities with a soccer ball, so that they relate soccer with fun!

We run a fall program and a spring program. Each program runs for 10 weeks and the young players and their sidekick will participate once per week in 45 minute sessions with a qualified Activity Leader.

Happy Feet | U5/6 Born 2017-2018

Our Happy Feet program is designed to introduce young players to the game in a fun and engaging environment. Young players will participate in small groups in fun soccer related games and activities. They will also be introduced to the “game” itself and play in small sided, short matches. Each session will have a physical literacy component so that the players will develop their motor skills.

We will run a fall and a spring program. Each program will run for approx. 12 weeks and the young players will participate in 60 minute sessions with qualified club staff aided by volunteer parent coaches.

FUNdamentals | U7/8 Born 2015-2016

Our FUNdamentals program is designed to introduce our aspiring young players to the basic fundamentals of skill development. They will participate in small groups with a focus on developing a level of confidence and competence with a ball at their feet. They will learn to dribble, pass, turn with the ball, shoot and other basic soccer skills. On a weekly basis they will also play in small sided games and for the first time they will learn some of the basic rules around the game. This is a key learning phase for them, but the fun factor will never be far away!

We will run a fall and a spring program. Each program will run for approx. 12 weeks and players will participate twice weekly. Sessions will be 60 minutes long and overseen by qualified club staff aided by volunteer parent coaches.

Team Up! | U9/10 Born 2013-2014

Our Team Up program is designed to introduce players to the “team” concept. They are now at an age where they begin to embrace the concept of playing as a team and recognizing goals can be achieved by working together. For the first time we will place our players into teams from the very start of the program. They will practice and play together throughout the season. While we will continue to develop their fundamentals, many of the practices will be more game related and we will begin to introduce positional play.

We will run a fall/winter program that will extend beyond Xmas to the end of February for a total of approx. 18 weeks. Players will participate twice weekly with one practice day and one game day per week. In addition, we will run a shorter Spring program that will run for approx. 12 weeks. Teams will have dedicated volunteer team parent coaches who will oversee their games and also support qualified club staff at weekly practices.

Recreation | U11/17 Born 2012-2006

Our Recreational Program is geared towards those that love to play the game, but at a more recreational and less committed level. Players in this program will participate in once weekly practices and weekend games. As with the Developmental program our Recreational teams will participate in league play from September to March throughout the lower mainland.

While players participating in this program may not in all cases aspire to higher levels of the game, they do still want to play the game and our goal is to engage them and allow them to keep loving the game regardless of the level of play. For those that do aspire to the Development level our club staff are keen to identify them and guide them to the level of the game that they seek.
